Whole Wheat Mirasol Spiced Chocolate Cake

- 1 1/2 Tablet(s) "Abuelita" Mexican drinking chocolate, ground
- 250 grams butter
- 320 grams sifted whole wheat flour
- 150 grams sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon ground Mirasol pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/8 liter of milk (try soy milk as a healthier option)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup raisins (optional)
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Beat the butter and sugar in a bowl until creamy. Add the eggs one by one and mix. Gradually add the baking powder and the flour, mixing constantly. Add the milk little by little, stirring constantly. Add the ground chocolate, spices, and optional ingredients. Preheat your oven to 350 degree F. Pour the mixture into a greased baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes to an hour. Check after 45 minutes to see if it is done by inserting a toothpick in the cake.
